About the figures
Medians are for originated closed-end loans with a first lien. Reverse mortgages, open-end lines of credit and loans for a business purpose are not in the medians. A median needs 20 loans. A figure with fewer than 25 applications is "n/a".
The dollar amount is a simple interest approximation: the rate spread times the full loan amount for one year. The balance of a loan decreases with each payment, and an APR includes some fees, so the amount for a real loan is different.
